    Registration Agreement

    1. Registration deadline is January 6, 2012 and will only be accepted upon the receipt of a completed registration form and approval signature from an academic advisor.
    2. All team members are required to have an active APICS student membership at the time of the competition.  Proof of APICS membership will be required at the competition, so please process applications by 12/31/2011.   Student membership is $25 and applications can be downloaded from http://www.apics.org/membership/join/student.htm
    3. All team members must be full-time students pursuing an education program no higher than an undergraduate level
    4. All team related expenses (e.g. travel, accommodation) are the responsibility of the team. We recommend seeking out sponsorship from your local APICS chapter/academic institution
    5. Friday morning and afternoon snacks, breakfast and lunch will be provided by Ontario Grand Valley Chapter for all attending teams.
    6. Team members may use any reference material in the public domain in conducting research.
    7. Student team members are solely responsible for their case resolution.  No assistance or input may be made by faculty or students who are not team members.  Coaching is expressly prohibited.
    8. Teams will be comprised of a minimum of four to a maximum of five students. All students may work on the case resolution; however, the oral presentation must be presented by a minimum of three students.  If you are unable to gather a team of 4 but would like to participate, please contact Tiffany Bilek at tiffany.bilek@gmail.com. We are expecting things such as geography/cost to the limit number of students that may be able to participate. Accordingly, please let us know as soon as possible, as APICS Canadian District can try to work on pairing you up with another school (e.g. 2 students from BCIT and 2 students from Calgary).
    9. The case resolution will be presented by teams in two different formats.  The paper is to be a maximum length of three pages text and up to two pages of exhibits.  The oral presentation is ten minutes in length and should include a visual presentation.
    10. An MS-Word template and a PowerPoint template will be emailed on the morning of February 1st, along with the case study.  It is mandatory to use the templates.  No props or audio may be added.
    11. Business dress is suggested for student presentations.
    12. There will be a limit of ten teams.  Preference is given to the first 10 teams to be registered from different schools. If one school submits two teams, the first team to submit will get selected to participate and the second team will be registered on a wait list. If we do not fill all 10 spots by January 6, 2012, team will be chosen on a first come, first serve basis.
    13. The winning team will be sponsored to represent the APICS Canadian District at the North American APICS Student Case Competition.

For questions, contact Tiffany Bilek at tiffany.bilek@gmail.com. Any situation not explicitly discussed in the rules will be resolved by APICS Canadian District representatives.
