Exploration Café – Providing an Effective Supply Chain in the Wake of a Natural Disaster

Join us for a World Café on the topic of how effective Supply Chain Management can assist in the delivery of disaster relief recovery.  For this discussion we will be using the ongoing situation in Haiti to foster dialogue.

The format of the World Café has been used since 1995 and is based on a conversational process,  that when we bring several people together and give them questions to discuss, collectively they can come up with ideas and creative thoughts, to even the most difficult of challenges.  Each of us brings something to the table that can help shape other’s ideas, thoughts and opinions about a subject.  These Café’s can lead us to shared purposes, and may spurn us on to action to have an impact on the world around us.

The evening will be very interactive and you will be sharing your thoughts, ideas and opinions with several different groups of people.  As a larger group we will be making connections between small groups to explore common themes and ideas.

Stephen Thomson, Program Co-ordinator of the Materials and Operations Management Program at Conestoga College and Tracey Lopers, Faculty in the Materials and Operations Management Program at Conestoga College will be facilitating this event.
