The call for papers has begun! Submit your topics by October 31st and be part of a group of industry experts who will be sharing their experiences at the conference. The theme of this year's conference is "Celebrating 50 years of Innovation", to highlight APICS Ontario Grand Valley Chapter's golden jubilee.

Please note: Topics that have been presented at previous Innovation conferences will not be considered for selection.

Click here to open the Call for Speakers form.

Speaker selection will be finalized by November 15, 2011.

Call for Speakers

A conference is only as successful as its speakers. We are looking for speakers whose topics pertain to one or more of our three tracks:

  • Supply Chain Management
  • Professional Development
  • Panel of Experts

Sessions are limited to one (1) hour's duration.

We will have a projector and a laptop with Microsoft PowerPoint available in all session rooms. We regret that we cannot support any other presentation software.

If you wish to submit a topic for consideration, please complete and submit a Call for Speakers. We will accept applications until October 31st, and will finalize speaker selection by November 15th.

This is completely optional.
I am a CEO, executive or senior management within my organization. I would be interested in participating in a Round Table discussion about professional development. Our student chapter has indicated a desire for open discussion with local professionals. As a result, we are planning on hosting an open forum during the noon break. Everyone is welcome, and the focus will be on professional development - primarily preparing to enter (or re-enter) the workforce.

This is completely optional
I have read the speaker guidelines(found on the conference web site) and agree with its contents. The Speaker Guidelines are outlined below.

During the Conference

You, the speakers, are a vital part of our conference's success. As such, we have taken every measure to make your conference experience a positive one.

Room Monitors

Each session room will be hosted by a room monitor. They are there for you. They will help you load your presentation onto the room's laptop and ensure that it runs. They will greet attendees, ensure that any handouts are distributed and will collect feedback forms at the end of your session. They will act as timekeepers, discretely letting you know if you are nearing the end of your allotted time.

In short, they are your go-to person.

Speaker Ready Room

If you wish to test your presentation prior to your session or just want some quiet time, a Speaker Ready room is available to you. The equipment in the Speaker Ready room will be the same as that found in the session rooms. Again, you have a room monitor available to you should you need help with anything.

Presentation Feedback

The room monitors will collect feedback forms from your audience at the end of your session. These feedback forms will be processed immediately, and a summary of this feedback will be made available to you one hour after your presentation has ended.

This feedback information will be available in the Speaker-Ready room.

Business Centre

The hotel has a very small business centre that is available to everyone. Because of its size, we would advise against relying on its availability. However, there is free WiFi access everywhere in the hotel that will be made available to you.
